Paralympic Experience - Day 3

Day 3 started out with the sledge hockey gold medal game between USA and Japan! Siren Man was out in full gear pumping up the crowds.
It was a competitive game and USA came out with the Gold.
Next we were off to watch the Gold Medal Wheelchair Curling Game - Canada vs. Korea. AMAZING. The stands were jammed and you can imagine the volume as Canada took home the Gold!! Incredible.

Paralympic Experience - Day 2

Day 2 got off to a great start - we boarded the bus decked out in our gifted swag (it was like Christmas opening our gifts!!) and went to explore the Whistler Athletes Village! The tour inside was awesome and so inspiring!
We were lucky enough to see Colette Bourgonje in Team Canada's house and she shared 2 of her medals with us - check out Marko sporting her silver medal! Nice!!
We also got to see Para-Alpine Skiing + medal ceremony at Whistler Creekside - again very cool experience.
Here is our Paralympic Hospitality Family from Wave 2! New friends and partners for the future!

It was a great day. Go Canada!

Our Paralympic Experience - Day 1

Well here it goes...our first official blog posting! What better way to start than to document our experience at the 2010 Paralympic Games in Vancouver! A crew of 6 "Luggers" are here and are being spoiled by the wonderful hospitality of our good friends at the Canadian Paralympic Committee.
It's going to be a trip we will never forget.
Here we are proud as can be with our all access passes LOL.

The Canada vs. Japan sledge hockey semi-final game didn't go quite as we hoped but the spirit was terrific.
Loved the flags, the painted faces, horns, and cow bells!
Fans in the stands were awesome.
Check out these lovely ladies in lavender who sat in front of us.
So awesome.
Congratulations Brian McKeever! GO CANADA! GOLD!!
